Likes: Beautiful stove. Easy to use. Window stays clear. Catalytic combuster works well. Easy to clean. This is a high quality top of the line stove that I'm sure will last my lifetime and that of my kid too!

Dislikes: Heavy. Takes a long time to heat up. No removable ash tray.

Comments: I am very pleased with this stove. I was worried about not having a local dealer, but the customer support for Woodstock Soapstone is fantastic, something rarely seen these days. My stove got a small crack in the soapstone on top. Even though it was a few weeks past warranty, they shipped a new top, free of charge (they paid for shipping too). When you call you get a real person in West Lebanon (not India), who actually knows what he/whe is talking about. When I visited the factory, I got a personal guided tour. These guys are proud of their product, and it shows. I should add the caveat that the owner lived next door to me when I was a kid (he was a kid too). But my brother designed the Vermont Casting Defiant and I still went with the Woodstock Soapstone because VC has gone way downhill since they sold out (and fired my bro).
