This stove practically lights itself. I've delt with many stoves over the years and so far (one month use) this isone of the easiest lighting and most efficient I have used. The simple lever control works great for regulating the stove. The built-in cleanout box is a nice feature.
Dislikes:
First few lightings were difficult, but I later read that this was due to the need to cure the brick. Fumes from paint "curing" were almost overwhelming the first time. I seem to lose a small amount of ash each time I use the clean-out box.
Comments:
First time run on new stove should be on a day when doors and windows can be opened.
