Likes: Very well built unit. Although the firebox is small, it heats our house easily. The fan is very quiet except at the highest setting, but even then it does not interfere with TV or stereo use. The ability to use outside air, or in our case, intake air from the basement ash door, really keeps the house from getting too dry. Door glass stays perfectly clean.

Dislikes: Not big enough for a good burn all night, but has plenty of hot coals for a restart after 5-6 hours.

Comments: We did a lot of research before buying and are reaaly happy with the stove. It burns clean because it is small enough to have a nice, hot fire going all the time without having to damper it down. PE does not have a lot of dealers in our area, but they do build the best stoves, in our opinion. If you're buying one, be sure to get the $20 mantle shield, since it deflects a bit more heat out into the room.
