Caluwe Hydronic Wood and Pellet stoves
Likes: Beatiful stove, real work of art, glass stays clean, just wipe the a small amount of ash off once every other week with a paper towel. Heats well once you go through a learning curve. Very efficient, heated our house last winter with less than 2 cords of wood (our house is very well insulated, if yours isn't, this is not the stove for you). Because of heat shield there is no problems with installation close to a wall (18") as oppossed to 24-36 with many others.

Dislikes: Takes some time and use before you really figure out how it burns.

Does not hold a fire for more than 3 to 4 hours

Comments: My wife and I love this stove. Lovely, like a piece of fine furniture. It takes a while to figure out and have to cut small lengths but that means the wood is easier to handle and split. I dont think also that a choked off fire is good because of the formation of creosote so the fact that it does hold a fire for long periods of time is not a problem for us. Always leave a little ash in the bottom, makes starting the fires easier.
