Comments: March 2007. We are in the process of remodeling our wood burning fireplace. The old unit was a Huge Triple bay--took too much wood to fill it, was inefficient, and didn't look nice. After some research (my brother is a mason) we went with the Heat&glo Northstar. We tor out the old unit and just installed the new. We chose to cover the existing brick with culture stone because the brick was no longer available. The unit Looks great. Instalation went well. We tryed it out and it really was cranking out the heat, the glass stayed clean. We went to bed at 11 and there were still hot coals when we got up the next morning. We are set to put on the culture stone now that we know the unit is working well. Will keep you posted.
