Likes: The unit STARTED OUT looking exceptional. Looks like crap now Seems to heat well

Dislikes: Bought the unit on 11/02/07. After one week of minimum heating (the weather's been in the low 50's) I went to wipe off a couple of water spots from the stove top (steamer driped) with a damp cloth. Flakes of paint started to come off of the stove top after one week of heating. Along with this the by-pass (key selling point to the stove)won't shut tight and stay closed.

Comments: The sales rep at Big Ash Stove tells me he contacted the Travis Corp (ya right)and the flaking paint is not unheard of. The manual states ... bring the heat up slowly and keep it at a low temp for the first couple of burns. I did as it stated. The sales rep says "just heat with it this season and touch it up in the summer with the spray can provided". I spend over two grand and I got to touch it up in the summer?

The by pass needs to be adjusted constantly to keep it closed.
I wouldn't buy another Travis product or from Big A** Stoves again
