Extremely well built and reliable. Fire is just incredible to watch. The glass is easy to clean using soft scrub and a no scratch pad sponge. Easy to regulate temperature. Simple no-brainer operation.
Weighs a ton ( not really but it'll feel that way by the time you get it moved to where you want it )
This will be our first full winter season with our Keystone and I honestly can't think of anything to enter as a con. Of course woodstoves require more work than conventional heat, but with oil prices hovering at around $3.oo a gallon I use the Keystone for heat and the oil as a backup. It rarely comes on. If you like watching the fire through the glass this stove is just incredible. Do yourself a favor if you're looking for a great stove and check out Woodstock soapstone stoves. This stove is probably the best investment I've ever made and that's saying something. It uses very little wood and the ash cleanup is half of what my old Consolidated Dutchwest was. Customer service is extremely friendly and will answer any questions you have, even if you're only shopping for a new stove. Feel free to e-mail me if you want any info.
