Burns clean, glass needs minor cleaning about once every 2-3 wks.. Chimney still has no creosote buildup. Like the end-loading, don't need the fan except for quick room warm-up in the mornings.
Stainless baffle started warping in the second year of operation, MUST be replaced after 3rd year. Longer burn times would be nice.
We burn well seasoned, hardwoods exclusively (oak, ash, hackberry and maple). I do not believe we have been running excessively hot fires, but what else could warp the baffle, cheap steel? In our 100 yo house, at 0 deg.F, we have to stoke in the early morning hours to wake up to a toasty house. That's OK though because my wife always has to pee around 3:00 a.m. anyway.
