Huge firebox accepts maximum log size of 32 inch long, large double glass doors for an good view of the fire, EPA Phase II Certified using catalytic technology, powerful remote 388 CFM fan, optional firescreen, good manufacturer techical customer support.
The snap disk temperature switch takes a very long time to turn the blower fan on, and then turns the fan on and off sporadically, while the fireplace is still roaring hot. I am hoping that Travis Industries will work with me to resolve this issue.
The installation type is a zero clearance wood burning fireplace installed in a wood chase on the outside of my house, with metal (8 inch inside diameter) air cooled chimmey pipe. We have the Artisan fireplace face design, the FPX 44 Elite gives us about a 6 hour burn time, and the glass doors have to cleaned regularly to be able to view the fire. Feel free to email me for any advise, evaluations, installation help, or other comments.
