Caluwe Hydronic Wood and Pellet stoves
Likes: Very efficient. Great looks. Long burn times. REALLY excellent company to do business with.

Dislikes: Very heavy. Takes two strong (stupid?) people to lift.

Comments: Have another review on this site that we wrote not long after we bought the stove. This is an update. Now in our 4th winter of ownership. Love the unit more than ever.

Been heating with wood for a long, long time and used to install wood stoves for a living. We did our own installation on this one also.

This is easily the best woodburner I've ever seen.

Never a problem for an overnight burn. Bank the stove at night and there's a full bed of coals in the morning. Open the draft, throw in a load of logs and whoosh- instant fire. The soapstone seems to retain heat forever. Low creosote buildup. Glass stays clean. Stove burns clean- when I look at the top of the flue, all I see is heat waves, no smoke at all. Heats our poorly sealed, poorly insulated 2000 sq.ft. home with no problems at all. When it's really cold, we use the air handler from our (unused) furnace to move the warm air to the parts of the house farthest from the woodstove.

The folks at Woodstock are really knowledgeable about wood heating and make a product that they can take justifiable pride in. Got our chimney kit from them, too. Outstanding customer service.
