Extremely efficient. No smoke or creosote. 8 hour burns. Great heat output. Glass stays clean. Looks great.
Can\'t burn to hot, you\'ll burn out the Catalyst. Can\'t put in wet wood, you\'ll crack the catalyst. Refractory is delicate. Can\'t burn dry wood - it\'ll run to hot (and burn out the Cat).
I struggled with this stove, going thru several catalysts. I finally installed a inlet & outlet catalyst thermometer from Condar, and found I was running it way too hot. Since monitoring the temp, I have learned not to overheat the stove (which is very easy to do) and it runs excellent! The Cat thermometers are a must to run this stove - unless it is over sized for your house (then, you probably won\'t overheat it).
