Comments: Purchased stove Mar. 2010 on end of season sale. The main reason I bought the stove was because when it gets below zero our electric base boards can only get the house to 65, I needed something to help out. Did the install my self, the difficult part was removing the damper and carrying the stove in (its heavy). Installation was pretty easy. I would recommend getting the oval adapter to go through the damper this would have made things much easier in my case (it was a tight fit). Got the stove installed and fired it up that night and it worked great burning cottonwood (I’m working on getting some better wood for next winter but its doing the job well for now). I have an open floor plan and a well-insulated house and the stove does heat the entire house easily. This is my first experience with any type of stove and it has been easy to use. I did a ton of research before deciding to go with the PE and am very happy I did. I would recommend this stove to anyone thinking about it, I am looking forward to seeing what it does to my electric bill and love the feel of heat wood puts off.
