Caluwe Hydronic Wood and Pellet stoves

Dislikes: This insert is advertised as compatible with outside air intake systems. I contacted the manufacturer before the purchase and they confirmed it was indeed compatible and went over the installation requirements.
AFTER the purchase, I found out the unit simply opens a large hole from the outside of the house to the interior which is just like opening a window in the middle of winter. This gives a large draft if the stove is not on. I contacted PE and found their true nature because it was after the purchase....
They did admit their stove is not compatible with outside air intake. They did admit their literature and manual was \"HIGHLY misleading\". Their head of engineering then said he would not change their manual to correct the \"HIGHLY misleading\" outside air compatibility claim; he would leave it up to marketing (what a slime bag!!!). The problem with personnel included their head of customer support who admitted not returning web based tech question of phone calls because they realized the stove was not as advertised!!!
I suggest buying from a no name Chinese manufacture because you will get better support and HONESTY.

Comments: Don\'t buy ANYTHING from Pacific Energy. There are plenty of more honest decent companies out there!!
