Caluwe Hydronic Wood and Pellet stoves
Likes: Large cast iron stove, with soap stone interior lining. Holds heat very well in stove, but cast iron also releases heat well into living room. Large fire box allows for a large load of wood and long burn times of 8+ hours when blower is turned to lowest setting.

Dislikes: Just getting to know who the stove operates takes at least a season. A lot is due to how well you understand the flow of air into the unit. If the wood not positioned correctly it can deflect the air inflow and the fires will not burn as efficiently as possible. Took me a season to get understand the optimal settings etc, but now that I have it figured out it heats the room and house like a champ all winter long.

Comments: I think a lot of the negative comments this stove has received at other sites is due to new user error and not having the patience to trial and error different burning methods. Stoves are not as easy as just starting a fire and throwing wood into it. You do have to give a little bit of thought as to how the unit is operated. All in all I would buy this stove again and recommend it for anyone looking for a large fireplace insert.
