Likes: Traditional look, Fine Quality, Nice view of the fire, Blue/Black enamel finish looks as new as the day it was installed.

Dislikes: Can't think of a single one!

Comments: We had the Kennebec installed into my masonry fireplace with a full metal chimney liner a couple years back. The house is a colonial, about 1800 sq feet, and was built in the 40s. We have new windows and hardy plank siding with R13 insulation. This insert keeps the house so warm and comfortable in the winter, I can walk around in shorts if I want. We easily get an overnight burn so it producing heat 24/7. We have saved an enormous amount of money on oil without sacrificing any quality of life. As a matter of fact, with the $ saved we find ourselves booking more travel holidays! To have the unit professionally installed,(don't skimp on that! a full liner, and the insert itself was a bit of money but it has paid for itself and is now putting money back into our pockets. It was a great investment. The retailer has a great team of install/service guys who come out every summer to clean the insert and chimney. (Don't skimp on this either!) They do a good job, are local, and know everything about fireplaces. Jotul seems like more of an elite, or high quality company and their stoves prices reflect that. However, you get what you pay for.
