Likes: Best looking insert available, relatively quiet fan, long burn time, good heat output

Dislikes: smoke tends to spill out of the stove when opening the door, unless the fire is well established. Needs very frequent clean-outs, and can get kind of messy.

Comments: This is my first wood stove, and I burned it nearly everyday between mid December - mid March of last year.
I burned approximately 2 cords of well seasoned Oak, and offset my oil consumption by approximately 200 gallons ($800). It kept my living room between 68-75 degrees, but could not keep the rest of the house above 65 degrees. Must use very dry kindling, or firestarter to get going if the stove is cold. Also must leave door cracked for 10-15 minutes, as the max air flow setting on the controller is not enough. Great bio-mass compliment to traditional oil, or gas furnaces but I would not recommend this as a replacement to a conventional furnace.
