Solid construction, throws great heat, slide-in grill is a super, must-have feature
Dislikes:
A bit finicky to get into secondary combustion mode, needs a bit of babysitting. Stove throws most heat from the back chamber, not the front, which makes placement in a fireplace less than optimal.
The combustion package is very fragile, tends to clog and/or degrade after a few years (and is quite a pricy part!). This downdraft system is not a great design compared to most other EPA stoves (burn tube or catalytic).
Comments:
Recommended with reservations. Worth the slight additional maintenance/expense/inconvenience just for the grill feature? To me, yes.
