Poor quality in fit and finish, low efficiency.
This is the start of our third season with this stove. We have heated with wood stoves for many years. The first year was hard to get a sustained fire. "We could come out and teach you to build a fire." This isn't my first rodeo, I know how to build a fire. Durring the season the rear fire brick cracked. Doing the manual prescribed maintanance to clean out the unit at the start of season two, the combuster FELL APART IN MY HANDS like powder. The dealer replaced it. Wow, now it burned like a stove should. Something was wrong from the factory. More efficient now. Didn't replace the broken brick though. At the end of the year the stove began to leak smoke from the joints around the top when we closed the damper. We heated with the damper cracked open, losing efficiency. This years clean out I did from the top stove pipe opening as a manual option. Running the vacume hose down caused the combuster to crumble away. I quickly stopped, reassembled, and set to use for the year. Looking into the smoke leak issue when cool, I found the nuts holding the top down, to be STRIPPED OF THEIR THREADS. The dealer had never heard of such a thing, "What's holding the top on?" Gravity. He'll give me new nuts if I stop in. I used my own. Retightening the bolts did not stop the smoke problem. Used stove for sale.
