Likes:
Cheap, good size (firebox & btu rating/output) for the price, solid construction.
Dislikes:
Blower died after about 3-yrs. Firebox is a bit shallow to build fires up for my taste. Firebox ceiling to secondry burn chamber warped/disintegrated after about 6 years to where I had to rig a crude separation panel. No way to clean out ash collected in secondary burn chamber when chimney is cleaned (can only see a small area when chimney pipe is removed.
Comments:
For $500 unit, $400 chimney, supplies, and free wood, easily paid for itself through offsetting fuel oil use over the yers used. May be a bit of a hastle for some people dealing with the quality issues, but definitely the cheapest route if the end game is to simple add heat to the house cheaply.
