Likes: Heats our whole house with steady heat. Long burn time. Every part of this stove can be rebuilt.

Dislikes: Drawback is that some ash comes out if you open the door too fast.

Comments: With this stove you will need to put a damper in the chimney pipe or you will never get it up to temp. Sometimes ash/smoke will come out the door if opened too fast. I wish Hearthstone made a top-loading stove like Jotel does. We loved our Jotel because it was so clean but we had to replace the catalyst every year which was very pricey plus the stove was too small to heat our house after we added on. The Hearthstone is superb in every way but is much dirtier than the Jotel was. Plus the ash drawer on the Hearthstone has an open back so you better be careful when carrying it outside to dump it.
