Fantastic looking stove. Bought it with porcelain finish and it has not chipped yet. very large viewing area and the glass cleans up easily if you stay on top of it with a daily wipe down...just a wet newspaper and ashes if needed. This unit really throws the heat out, It burns 6 hours+ on large splits and full loads. The IR takes up to 24" splits in the middle of the fire box but splits can only be 21" or so in the back of the box.
Top loading is almost useless for this unit, but I could not see myself using that anyhow. The ash pan is too small for this unit, they should have made it go the entire width and depth of the fire box. No biggie, just need to clean it out every other day. The fiber board that is attached to the baffle burn tubes is fragile, it chips if you accidentally poke it.
Overall we love the look and feel of this stove. We wanted the Jotul look and performance without paying the Jotul price. This stove does it for us.
