Likes: Heat output using red oak (only) exceptionally well within ratings. Thermostatic control is reliable and trustworthy. Loading stove is a pleasure, truly smokeless top loading. (8" chimney height is 24 ft.)

Dislikes: The short 8" diameter oval flue outlet adaptor is too short, the wooden handle on the griddle hits the round 8" pipe. The design works well, but has too many gasketed openings for practicility, requiring constant attention, or overfiring may result. (voice of experience.) The ash pan could be a little larger, even with low firing, (400-500F) the ashes need to be dumped every 24-36 hours.

Comments: Overall, a beatiful work of cast iron, and a an exceptional whole house heater.
