Nicely sized for 1700 sq ft (don't think I'd go much bigger than that if your living in an old 1920's house like mine). We are able to keep the house in the low 70's with the stove. Glass stays real clean when burning correct dry wood and using good fire starting techniques. Unit is realy very solidly built and the clearances to combustibles are just great. This stove holds its heat for a very long time and has a 5/16" steel top plate that stays warm(hot) for a very long time.
None really. The fan makes noise but not intrusively. Maybe the firebricks could be cut to fit a little snugger, but maybe all stoves have a little space between the bricks.
Wife and I just love it. She can get a fire up and running with no trouble at all so I feel good about that. The stove drafts just great even with 2 90 degree corners and 2 15 degree bends in chimney. (27' of class A chimney). Secondary combustion is easily achieved when using DRY wood and fire is easy to manage with just 1 air control to mess with. Great stove Drolet!
