Compact unit, being used in a log cabin. Able to get close to wall and save space, with double-wall pipe. Brass door looks real nice. Installation done quickly and on-time.
Promised by retailer and mfgr that it would burn for 8hrs (overnight) and it NEVER has...use dry hardwood, damper down, etc like one should but it lasts max 4 hrs/full load of wood. Heat output very disappointing based on claimed BTU's. I used all the calculators, described the area to be heated, etc and still grossly undersized. This is the sole heat source in a small log cabin, 15' x 23' with 13 1/2' ceiling and no insulation other than log walls . Mfgr needs a toll-free number for problems from owners of their stoves. Installers told me opposite instructions for how to damper up and down and it took me lots of frustration to figure out that this caused many initial problems.
Wish I would have bought a bigger stove.
