Austroflamm US website is lacking important info, such as a online user/installation guide in .pdf format. Austroflamm charged me $8 to send me one.

Austroflamm needs to look at the Thelin web site, take notes, and rebuild their site accordingly.

Comments: I was very lucky to find my Austroflamm stove used for $600 (A Smackin Deal Hunh?), as the retail price of $2600 seems exorbitant.

The previous owner had let it sit outside for some weeks in the rain and the stove had developed a slight coating of surface rust on most of the external parts, which fortunately were all easy to remove and refinish with a wire brush, steel wool and super hi temp paint. Before I purchased the stove I made sure that all of the electromechanical aspects were working properly (they were). The stove was missing the burn pot which I purchased from my local Austroflamm dealer for about $80.

For about 15 dollars in paint and about 5 hours of work, the stove looks/performs like brand new.

If you live in the California bay area,

BEWARE: DO NOT BUY YOUR STOVE FROM STOVE AND SPA EXPO IN MARTINEZ. The owner is a rude drunken alchoholic, and I would not trust him to dig a ditch, much less install anything that has fire in it in my home.

Buy it from:

Oakley Stove & Spa

3510 Main Street

Oakley, CA. 94561

925-625-2912

The owners of Oakley stove and spa were honest, courteous and punctual. Even though I did not buy my Austroflamm from them, they were extremely helpful, honest and responsive with all of my questions, and gave me better prices on parts and accersories than anyone else in the bay area.
