Likes: The unit provides a good source of heat. We are able to keep all the rooms comfortable without any other heat source.

Dislikes: The vermont casting stove is a maintenance nightmare. The replacement parts of gaskets and seals are very expensive. Access to clean the unit is difficult. A new catalitic converter costs in excess of $160.00, which the dealer convently failed to mention. The limited warranty of 6 years is insufficent for such an expense. They just about last that long.

Comments: I cannot recommend a vermont casting stove/fireplace. The expense and maintenance offsets the benifits . If I replace this , I'm sure it will be a different manufacturer and a different store.
