He has the old control board, not the new one that's on the 2013 / 14 / 15 stoves.
Used 5.7 tons last winter, winter before that I used 3.6 ish tons. Last winter I also used $100 in oil to help the stove with the colder nights....

You can not rely on oil staying low, all it takes is for some clown in the 'east' or 'west' to cause a war.
Watch out, oil prices may rise sooner...

I decided to buy early too, got 5 tons in the driveway ready for 2015/16 season, paid $5.05 per bag and that included the delivery charge.

Tax on pellets here in Maine is not added (yet), the tax was added to the delivery charge of $65.00 though ! What a scam eh ?
Close, but you got to take the $65.00 and remove the 5.5% tax that was added to it ($65.00 + 5.5%).
The cost per ton was $239.00.
Fireside Ultra's, they burn well in my stove and produce a nice heat.
Will get an extra ton of pellets in October / November, not sure what ones...

Check all the fuses on the stove's control board(s) and any that my be inline within the stove. Check all wires, make sure that they are connected...
The tech came out two weeks ago, looked over the stove install..... said it was great, nothing wrong with the venting / install....
That 17 foot run is going to cause you loads of problems with ash buildup, and very fast too.
I found these to be a good pellet here too.
I did the same thing, will not do that again in a hurry, plan to get 5 tons in before winter returns, that's if it ever leaves that is. :p
Then tell your 'stove dealer' to come and do it for free at the end of every season. :p
The tech was correct, this stove gets hotter on the left side as you look at the stove from the front, the exhaust outlet is on that side so it...
You should be cleaning it out completely for every 1 ton burned, not 3 or more tons later !
Put a small handful of pellets in the pot to cover the igniter and fire it up, see if it stays on for more than 30 mins.
That's the smaller version of the one you have, the one you have puts out more heat.
High heat for at least 6 hours, it needs to get hot, then the smell will fade away.
Tip the ash over the driveway, acts as good ice melt when the sun hits it.

What heat setting do you have it on ?
Heat setting 9 is the high heat.
What brand of pellets are you feeding the stove ?
No, thermostat mode, run it in manual mode only.
That's a temporary fix, but don't run the stove in 'auto' mode as the temporary fix will not send the correct temp reading to the stoves built-in...
You will be fine running the stove with someone about the house, just don't leave it alone (go out for more than an hour).
