Wow! That thing is awesome!! Congratulations!!!
Your analogy doesn't work. The shop is the cook. The manufacturer is the producer. Yes, there have been problems with 5100s but there a LOT more...
I see your point. Definitely don't buy an awesome running saw because of your Mazda B2200. ;)
I'm sorry. There are a few saws you have to get when you get the chance because that chance may only come once. The BP-1 is certainly very near...
Mine do look OK when I stack them. After 3 years it is often a different story. ;em
No, just oaks, maples, hickorys, locusts, ash.... ;)
Good thread, thanks! I have a Silver Maple in my backyard that could've been a Champion if I'd ever bothered to get it measured. Then, last...
Even with your heat and the drought, I do not believe your red oak went from 40% to 25% in 4 months. Did you get your MM at Harbor Freight? I know...
No, Dennis, we don't. ;)
For a 6401, you can run a 28" but will be much happier with a 24". It is a nice saw but is still only 60cc's.
From the biggest Kool-Aid Stihl drinker we have. ;)
The most impressive saw I have ever run was a Solo but I wouldn't own one as parts are getting harder to find.
You're awful young to be so old. ;)
Congrats. I'm sure you will love it.
You can stay with 50:1 as long as you are running a good synthetic.
You don't to go to 40:1 unless you've ported the saw. I can't see any reason...

The 562 I ran holds it's own with ported saws. Should spank a...
Thanks, Eric and I'm certainly saddened by the news of the passing of your father. His book was certainly important when I began gathering wood.
Congrats, Todd. That burr oak will keep you warm!

Thanks for most of the replies. ;) I will pass them on.
The pallets are really nice all oak ones. What I'm concerned about is the ground underneath slowly sinking with that much weight to the outside...
Been a while since I've been around but have a question I'd like some help with.
As you may recall, my backyard is really shady and as I learned...
I have a friend who has a propane fired boiler in her house and would like to switch to an OWB. I know nothing about OWB's so told her I'd ask you...
Seems like we would've heard about it if that had really happened.
You need to clean out your gullets better.
Congratulations on the good news and as many have said, don't overdo it now. The healing process is still ongoing and you don't want any...
No problem at all. I did it last year with a muffler modded 395 and a 42" bar.
Not sure why the cops would be involved. What are you going to do?...
Since the title of the thread is Wisconsin stacks, here are mine;
I guess I don't have that northwinds gift!
This is actually the...
