Well my problem with my harman coal stoker is FIXED

-5 last night woke up this morning to a house that was 80 degrees. Burnt 40 lbs of rice coal in a 12 hour period.

is concrete good for a hearth??

Come spring i want to get rid of my silly looking black hearth mat and build a 4" thick concrete hearth with a slate design etched into the concrete...

stove temp versus flue temp

is there a set rule of thumb for this? I ask cause my coal stoker when it's running and i look at the temps of the stove and flue there always around...

can someone explain how a barometric dampner works in relationship to heat output?

installing the recycled paper insulation is a blast...lol

craig i need some help with the btu nfor coal cause nothing makes sense

You said coal has a btu of 14000 per pound of coal well when i do the math on my harman stoker it doesn't work it according to what harman states....
