    fan speed

    colder air is more dense, which is easier to move. It might not sound right, blowing cold air in but it works.

    yup, a box fan placed every 10 or 15 feet will move the air. If you can deal with 3 box fans on the floor. I put a fan in the kitchen doorway that...

    what's the deal with manufactures suggested burn time on inserts. Not sure if they have them on free standing stoves. most say between 6-8 hours....

    When to uncover wood pile?

    that's no problem if the wood is pretty dry. If you cover fresh/green split wood, the water condensates under the tarp and it never fully dries over...

    we do have a ceiling fan in the room with the stove and that goes on low. I have the fan blowing the hot air out---I'll turn it around and try that....
