    I've noticed a difference in fuel consumption from my ms250 also. I just sold my 290 and looking to buy a 291 to fill my needs now.

    yes faster. If I can get the times for cuts of the 8in logs from my local shop you will see. I believe the 290 was 6.2 sec and the 251 was 5.7...

    I bought the Englander to heat my 1200 sq ft home. You learn to adapt for the size of the house to the stove. Better to big than to small.

    I know the manual says only pellets. I can't see why a mix would be a problem. The exhuast pipe would have to be multi fuel pipe. Mike will chime in...
