    if u had only 2 woods to burn the rest of ur life?

    Oak and Cherry. One burns a long time, the other is good for the shoulder season and starting fires. I'd be just as happy with Maple and Oak.

    Lesson learned

    I noticed a huge oak down in a farmers field a block from my house. I called him and he said take what ya want and leave the rest. It DOES pay to ask.

    Making kindlin

    Rarely use the stuff. I use about 1/5 of a Super Cedar and smaller pieces of soft Maple or Pine. Dats all it takes. :)
