If you can slip it over single and remove when needed for large logs it is good.
On mine, I welded the 4 way on the top splitter and the bottom...
I just bought the new HF one and I am very happy with it.
I have been using hand method for 30 years and do good job but this is impressive.

This is what I went too, got mine at Cabela's and love it. I can pull it up my deck steps and right into house then park it near stove....
modified the splitter a bit
I made a cradle to shoot wood into my boxes and to hold big splits for a second split as needed

One thing for sure - not sure what the wood is after...
