    Install new lopi without liner?

    I believe it depends on how good your draw is to start with: I've seen stoves burn fine with and without liners: :-)

    I would indeed go with an insert that sticks out: I've sold several Lopi inserts( ie the Revere or Freedom ) that stick out and just really heat up...
