Good point. I was told if there was any moisture within 5 feet it would'nt work.
I believe that when the wood gets rained on and gets wet it wicks the moisture out from the middle of the splits and speeds the seasoning...
+1 for splitting right away. then stack where it falls. Let it dry right there. Move it when it's dry (lighter).

My storage is under the slab--- 4inches...
I am currently using a concrete septic tank for storage.
Installed aprox. 120 feet of 3/4 inch copper as heat exchanger.
Works allright for me.
No insulation around the foudation-------melting snow equals major heat loss!
can't you get r12 fiberglass---made for 3.5 inch cavity?

I had the actuator mechanism turned 180 deg. on the valve stem.
Also had a bad signal coming from the outdoor sensor.
The connections are to the correct ports per instructions
Right side port"B"supply-Left side"A"return from floor loop
The valve is a taco I100U3R-1
