Gator glades do wonders. ;)
Best chain I have is the sharp one. I probably have 40 chains or better. Most are full chisel no skip unless its over 30 inch. One chain and way...
In this case yes. That was our first cut on this tree. Big root flairs everywhere and he wanted it close to ground level for the stump grinder.
Do I could not make it all the way around the base of the tree. So I just slab it.
10 cords one person and done before the end of May for seasoning. Your a Mad man!
Check ebay for a use 511a Oregon.
32 inch bar is about 2/3 the way in on this tree.
Best to have both mills.
I was thinking the last time it took that long the other guy was buying the beer.
Maybe its from doing 10,000 of thousands of them but I really don't need the vice at all. Left hand supports the chain just where it hangs off....
Yes but once you get good on the 511a there no real reason to use the vice. Its a lot faster to hit your stops, very light touch on the handle and...
441 all the way. Would not count out the 460 if fuel mileage is not needed. Then your close enough to the 660 to rule it out. ;)
It did when I got it. I change the front tire to a tri-haul and put bigger ball bearing tie rod ends on.
Bucket seems odd in pictures but it works out great. I not done any slabs for a couple years, but I got a dozen or so still drying in my rack....

It just takes 2 of them to get it done.
Here is the 128 finished with electric sleeve hitch.
Yes I have a 12 inch brinly plow electric lift. We are on the same page here. Rip it first.

Bingo.....You got a long bar on hard wood with flat rakers even anti-vibe gloves cant help you. One big case of tennis elbow. ;)
Solid as it gets right there for firewood!
If you take a big chunk out of one link don't try and get them all the same with one sharpening. Put them back to the same over 3-6 sharping's....
If your not running a tach on your saw you may want to learn to tune by ear. ;)
24 inch hardwood is no chump. If you can afford log loads than buy a good saw. But any pro saws fine and the more cc's all the better. Don't let...
Hard to tell without a picture up close. Price of files vs having it ground. Unless you really know what's up filing its a no-brainer have it ground.
