    Basics about gas inserts in California

    We have a stone fireplace we would like to convert to a gas fireplace, preferably something modern with simple clean lines, preferably without any cladding or trim, just a plain glass front. We plan to cover the stonework anyway. The goal is mainly decorative, so we don't need massive BTUs...
