    Vermont Castings Explorer Questions

    Hi there. I just purchased an unused Vermont Castings Explorer fireplace insert. It’s been sitting in a garage and has some rust on it. Not sure if this cast iron insert was coated or painted.     Cleaning and Repainting Old Stove

    I bought an older plate steel stove for a decent price. The unit is structurally good but pretty sooty/grimmy. What is the best thing to use to clean this?
