Well tell ya what, visit: makebeer.net and get their starter kit (it has the stuff for a decent larger included). Go from there the raw ingredients, extract kits, etc are all around you. You won't even want to see, let alone drink most of what comes in a bottle or can at the stores again. It isn't difficult and a little patience really pays off.

Well you need to find the recipe used or clone your own. That will lower the price a good bit. I agree with you on the dark brews. Those high test ones also have more ferment-able materials in them. Some of them have extensive and expensive aging requirements.

Just so every one understands the primary ingredient by volume in the brew is plain old water.

Now speaking of both pellets and beer, I turned on the stove this morning to ward off the lack of fire blues I had. The first cup of coffee sure tasted a lot better this morning so now I'm waiting for the sun to go over the yard arm. But first I've got to move more compost and hopefully get a transfer station run in.

Well, one more thing they have in common if you get bulk delivery > sometimes they both smell like cat piss (Keystone Light). :)

I'm a dark beer drinker too. Just can't beat Guinness at a pub in Ireland! There is NOTHING better.

Sanitizing is defiantly a requirement only it doesn't require the old time bake them in the oven routine. You don't want to do all of the work and waiting only to have skunk beer you can't drink.

Quite it guys, Your making me drool! I don't see Yuengling here either. I'll have to keep an eye out for Sam Adams chocolate Bock. Mostly Long Trail and Otter Creek lately. Some sammy's here and there.

I make my own Black and Tan's with Quiness and Bass Ale usually. A personnal favorite! ;)

For a 7.2 it has a great taste. It is by far my favorite from the Stone Brewing Co.
