Brand new they are $2329 in Toronto (Natural Heat). That one looks like there's a lot of ash around the top - indication of a problem or just lazy...

If it is old, then it may not have the upgraded control panel that works better on the low heat settings. Also the 400 Watt ignitor can be on the way out.
All in all, it is a very good stove.
If you clean and paint the fire box with VHT 2,000 Deg F very high temp car header spray paint, it will look like new.
The outside you can paint with Stove Bright 1400 Deg F spray paint.
