It's an insert that has run great for last 23 years, some years running continuously from Thanksgiving to Spring Break. The convection blower finally quit working after a week on its last legs. Trying to remove the blower assembly which contains the motor itself, no quick disconnect. It appears that the assembly is attached to the stove at a flange that obviously has 2 bolts on the two corners closest to the outside of the stove. It appears that the two inward corners just have short pins that go through the holes on the assembly flange. I removed the two outward bolts thinking blower assembly would just drop out, no such luck. It doesn't budge and I can't find any other fasteners to remove. Seems like there is an adhesive gasket material between the flanges of the blower assembly and the stove. Any ideas on how to remove the blower assembly? TIA ....

duh wrong stove...

Success!! There were only two bolts on the outboard side. Over the years the gasket material pretty much welded the two flanges together. A putty knife and three screwdrivers with a generous amount of hammer and the assembly popped free, whew...

Thanks to all who responded, Bill

Glad to hear you got it removed ... perseverance pays off! Happy heating.
