25-PDVC question

I am in the process of giving my stove a good cleaning. Removed both blowers and will replace gaskets. I have a question on the auger motors. Is there suppose to be play on them in and out wise? I can move the top and bottom auger mortors in and out about 3/4 to 1" on the shaft..almost seems like the whole auger goes in and out.....normal?

mine do that, I think it might aid in not having a jamb.

If you mean pulling the auger output shaft outward, away from the auger body, yes, there is supposed to be some play. As long as they turn w/o any play in the gears (rotational play), they should be fine.

mine did that too, and i found the locking collar and set screw for the motor was loose.

To my knowledge there should be little slop, except for the bearing. Yes, be sure the hex head screw is not loose.
