Holy cow 3000 posts ! Well Mom looks like you where wrong I am not a quitter after all.
Just 3,000. Pffftt.
Hang around Pete. You are a good member of the wood burning community.
He's only just begun.
Sorry, had too
Thanks BB only 18521 to go !
Never saw that video before. I used to like that song. Now, not so much.
She looked fake...fake tan, fake "I'm diggin' this", fake "I sure am glad they put me in this stupid harem-looking costume", fake "Ya, sure, I know how to dance", fake "Nah, I'm not the least bit self-conscious". I like her voice, I like the memories the music brings to me...I just can't watch that video without feeling somehow sorry for her. I'm sure it's just me.
Good points. Not the real Karen for sure. This is how I remember her.
Nope not just you.
Oh yes, yes, that's her. Much better. I just want to smack that punk in the pink shirt with my tambourine and run off with Karen.
Its better than this lol.
As a drummer I was always totally in love with Karen. She called herself a drummer that sings. Won't fill up the thread with links but search youtube for "karen carpenter" and "drums" sometime.
The lady was good. Tragic loss so young.
A former Fire Inspector I knew claimed he dated Karen Carpenter in high school for awhile . . . and while I would normally scoff at such a thing, he was not prone to exaggeration or tall tales.
congrats Pete i have my own success also
I remember 3000 like yesterday...the internet was pure. The weather was normal and this place was called hearthnet.
Way to go Pete.
# of post = number of splits you've made?
Did they even keep count back in the cave web days lol.
You just wait till I start painting wood to preserve it !
hammer and chisel on stone tablet.
Question is did jags weld the first hammer up yet !
The third replacement head is in the forge. They only last about 3000 posts.
Those post counts seem to jump a hundred or two whenever I'm not looking....
My wife noticed mine the other day. Needless to say, I stayed away from the computer for awhile after that.....
I'd probably be at 3,000 posts if the "like" button was not introduced...
