Went to Lowes today (dangerous thing to DO)........saw a "5 Ton Electric Log Splitter" for $299.00. Aside from the price discussion, anyone have this tool? What can you offer about the merits or value of this particular Log Splitter, for making kindling from already split 18" pieces of wood?

I have a 4 ton from HF works fine for kindling as well as smaller rounds, is not quick, I think it might be a tad slower than my 30 ton. I do not use it a lot, but mine is 8 yrs old. Never used it on anything over 8" dia. There is a 7 ton out there not that much more if it is your only unit.
