hi all
1st time in
working on a 5700 steptop install
looking to verify the clearances for a corner install
i have checked and rechecked
can't believe 2" to combustable wall as per manual
anyone got a buyoff from inspection for anything this close?

Go by the manual. Its correct. Inspectors will trust the manual if you show them that as well.

One thing you want to check for also is the pipe clearances. If you are using double wall connector pipe usually the min stove clearances are plenty of room. But if you use single wall connector pipe you often have to move the stove out further just to meet the pipe clearances.

Owners manual says 2". Mine is more than that, but the most thing the BI was looking at was the distance of the pipe from the walls.
Go by the book. Works every time

owners manual says 2" to the stove
i'm at about 7" (worked out that way)
manual says 13" to pipe
single or double same, says manual
i'm 22" centerline minus pipe radius (3" for 6" pipe) = 19"
good there as well
thanks for the headsup on the pipe clearance
just astounded that the stove could be as close as 2" to a combustable wall
