Alright fella's

I have a really nice, Simpson Duraflex chimney liner. Well, due to my mistake it turns out my stove outlet is 7 inches outside edge to outside edge. Its an older stove so it has a top outlet, that is flush with the top of the stove.

Can I use the 6 inch liner with a reducer? I hope so. Being how I bought the liner from a private seller, and the clock is ticking on getting the stove in.

I have some buddies coming over in the morning to help me line it, most of them are HVAC guys and one retired boiler installer/tech.

I'm not sure what they will say, but thought I would also ask the think tank of this forum.

Thank you for any help!

If the chimney is interior and the liner is a couple stories tall, it may work out fine. If the liner is in a short, exterior chimney, you may get balky starts and smoke spillage when the door is opened.

It also might depend on the heater. What is the stove make and model?
