A few days ago I mentioned that I quit using my four year old Harbor Freight IR thermo because I didn't believe the temp reading vis-a-vis my newer small Rutlands. Today I pulled it out and it read around a hundred degrees more than the Rutlands. It also thought my walls and doors were 140 degrees F. On a hunch I changed the battery in it and it now agrees with the mag thermos.

If yours seems to be measuring high it might be worth changing the battery.

Nice tidbit!

Thanks!

Isn't the forum strange inasmuch as there sems to be a minimum number of words?
Ja, but what is even more strange is YMMV.
