This is a very handy, quick to use slide calculator for radiant designs. It can also be used for troubleshooting systems.

This example shows the heat output that could be expected from a 300 foot loop at a .5 gpm flow rate. Select the tube spacing to the left and see the output from 10 btu/sq.ft./ hr. at 18" spacing to 50 at 3" spacing.

It lets you calculate "what ifs" when you consider radiant floors, ceilings, walls. For example what type of heat load could you cover with the lowest supply temperatures you wish to provide. This helps with buffer tank sizing.

It will calculate pressure drop, surface temperature, floor output and more. For the cost of a few Starbucks coffees.
