Accuratcy of Oil tank Float Gauge

I have two 275 gal Oil tanks about 35 yrs old. I was wondering how accurate the float guage is. It is an O.E.M. King Gauge.

Well, I know my oil gauge is shot, because it never moves :lol: But seriously, I would expect a float to just keep on floating.

Any tank guages i see are just a rough estimate as to whats in the tank.I deliver heating fuel so i see quite a few.
