Hello, I'm new here, and also new to the whole pellet stove experience. I came across this forum when trying, unsuccessfully, to find instructions online for my pellet stove.

We moved into a country property recently, and in the kitchen there is a Pel-Tech Pro-Warmer pellet stove. We have no instructions for it, but in the box the previous owners left us, we discovered a service handbook for the stove, which is how we know what it is. Additionally, someone has written "St Croix" inside it, which we have been told is a reference to another make of stove which is similar to ours.

My question is, does anyone know how this thing works? We've plugged it in and the fan runs, we've had the chimney checked by an expert (who had never seen or heard of this brand of stove), we've cleaned the fireplace around and behind it, we've bought a new bag of pellets and some fire-lighting gel, and we're ready to go and know in principle how it works, but we are just a little reluctant to fire it up without really knowing what we're doing.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this stove, or advice for us? Thank you.

Hello, I seen your post looking for info on the pro warmer xl stove.I also Have this model of stove and cannot find anything on them, anywhere,I think they are out of business.Do you have a copy of the owners manual? Would you be willing to sell a copy of it? It would go a long way to help me figure out my problem with this stove.

    Tks..

Hi, no I don't have a copy of the owner's manual - that was our problem! I do have a copy of the service handbook, though, and would be happy to photocopy it for you. If you wanted it scanned and sent to you, I can do that but it would have to wait until the middle of next week, as I don't have access to the scanner right now. Alternatively, I can mail it to you.

Not sure if this is the same stove but I saw reference to the St. Croix and the ProWarmer being manufactured by Autocon Industries. May want to check with manufacturers of St. Croix stoves to see if this is accurate and whether they have archived manuals.

    Good luck...

The pro warmer was bought out by Canadian comfort which also bought glow boy and the pro warmer became pel pro. These stoves and st croix use the versa grate system for the burn pots...st croix the only one using it presently. If you can snap some photos inside the back I can help you out with whatever your questions are.

Hi Scott, wondering if you would have a wiring diagram for the pro warmer xl. This unit was stored in a barn for several years,I am trying to get it back into shape but can't make out the diagram on the stove.
